Why Every Smoker Needs To Quit The Habit

Every smoker probably understands the heath risks associated with the habit. The risks are sometimes high and might cause death. Even for those who appear healthy, there is a great risk in developing heath complications in future. Smoking is attributed to development of lung cancer, respiratory conditions and dry skin among others. Other that health complications, there are other reasons that smokers need to consider and this might motivate them to stop the habit.

Smokers incur a daily cost to get the cigars. This is a major financial burden in the long term. This is an amount that can be hardy in handling other obligations.

Smoking also affects those around. This is a direct threat posed by the smokers. Among the notable risk is triggering heart attacks in high risk patients.

Smoking affects the mind. Important senses are lost due to these chemicals. To get the senses back, smokers only need to quit the habit.

Smoking causes the skin to wrinkle hence faster aging. This is attributed to biochemical changes that occurs within the body. Skin cells are deprived of oxygen and slowed blood flow on the skin.

Smoking increase infection of coughs and colds. The practice makes the smoker more prone to bacterial infections hence the increased risk of the attacks. This is alongside weakening of the immune system. To restore the immune system, smokers need to quit smoking for at least a month.

The habit limits engagement in physical exercise. They tend to run out of breath within a short period. This is attributed to the high demand on the heart and lungs caused by smoke and this makes the smoker to run out of breath within a short time of exercises.

Smokers never smell fresh, every body part and clothes smell of the smoke. Non-smokers easily detect this and tend to keep away from the smoker for fresh air. Smokers can only remedy this by keeping away from the practice.

Smokers find it hard to date. It is never easy for a non-smoker to date or spend long time with a smoker. By stopping the habit, smokers enjoy a better dating life and get more life options.

Cigarette smoke is known to cause stains on teeth. This results from erosion of enamel on the teeth leading to the teeth turning brownish. If not observed, this can lead to loss of teeth as well as increased risk of gum infections.
